Olympe — Logo for a Premium Gym

Olympe is a premium gym based in Reims, France, which wanted an identity worthy of its upmarket positioning, able to stand apart from standard gyms on the market.
Project background
Olympe is a gym based in Reims, co-founded by Thomas Poullain, a physical trainer and former soldier, and Anthony Dizy, a professional fighter and MMA coach. The brand's positioning rests on personalised coaching rather than a standardised offer: every programme and every follow-up is tailored individually to each member.
The work
The logo draws directly on Greek mythology, echoing the brand's name: power, status, self-transcendence. The graphic treatment stays clean to guarantee a premium image rather than a merely decorative one.
This same client had previously commissioned a sports app, Red Kraken, before focusing on growing Olympe: discover this earlier logo design.
Why this style
For a gym positioned at the premium end of the market in Reims, the identity needed to immediately signal standards and prestige, rather than the simple functionality often associated with classic gyms.
What makes a good gym logo?
A gym logo needs to convey both energy and credibility: dynamic enough to make people want to move, serious enough to reassure on the coaches' expertise and the quality of support. It's a more delicate balance than it looks, between a logo that's too aggressive (which can intimidate a beginner audience) and one that's too smooth (which can feel generic among dozens of similar gyms).
For a gym positioned at the premium end or around personalised coaching, as is the case here for a premium sports visual identity, the logo also needs to stand apart from the very common codes of classic fitness branding (dumbbells, muscular silhouettes, flames) in favour of a more distinctive symbol, able to represent a genuine coaching philosophy rather than a standardised gym.
